Shows of the Very Small Theatre, Hosted by NTB
The „I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre shall be hosting on a weekly basis, as of this month, shows of the Very Small Theatre, one of the Bucharest theatrical institutions whose activities was interrupted due to the entry into force of Law 282 of 18 November 2015 (the functioning in a building with high seismic hazard).
Not by chance, the shows of the Very Small Theatre shall unfold in the Small Hall of NTB, intended, ever since 2014, for the 9G Programme at NTB, which is exclusivelydedicated to the young playwrights; the programme, at its second edition, has produced 9 premieres up to the present: the Very Small Theatre declares itself in turn, programmatically, a “space open to the young generations, …to a generation of artists believing that theatre must be strong, able to raise an alarm, to trigger statements”.
Therefore, solidary with our colleagues from the Very Small Theatre, we are persuaded that their shows shall add, week after week, a touch of colour and originality, from which first of all, the spectators of NTB’s Small Hall shall benefit!
The first shows of the Very Small Theatre, hosted in the Small Hall of NTB are:
The 39 Steps after the eponymous movie by John Buchan and Alfred Hitchcock – 23 February and 2 March 2016, 7.00 p.m.
Cats’ House by Radu Iacoban – 10 March 2016, 7.00 p.m.
